HTC Teases U11 Plus Launch on November 2, Shows off Front of the Device

The hype for the HTC U11 Plus has been accelerating quickly. Not too long ago, we heard of the first rumours of the device with leaked specifications. Then, we saw the device visit TENAA, allowing us to get a first look of its design. After that, HTC confirmed that it was holding an event in Taiwan on November 2. Finally, Evan Blass took to Twitter to corroborate the specifications mentioned in the TENAA listing. So at this point, we know quite a bit about the device and know what to expect.

Although there still seems to be conflicting opinion on whether the HTC U11 Plus will actually be launched alongside the HTC U11 Life on November 2, there seems little doubt about the fact that it's surely coming soon. HTC itself has been building hype for the device. On October 24, they posted a first teaser of a device which matched the photo of the U11 Plus shown on TENAA. Now, they have posted another teaser of the upcoming phone, with the same words as in the last teaser: "You'll believe it all on 11.02.2017.'

HTC U11 Plus Teaser

New teaser of the HTC U11 Plus

The new teaser is different from the first one as it shows the front of the device this time around. We have already known that because of the smaller bezels of the display, the fingerprint sensor has moved to the back. The front of the device, therefore, is free from physical buttons.

The teaser also shows the smaller bezels of the phone. Although the bottom bezel doesn't look to be as small as the one found in the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy Note 8, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, the Essential PH-1, the Huawei Mate 10 series, and others, it looks to be on par with the Google Pixel 2 XL.

Also, in terms of the side bezel HTC does improve here from the side bezel of the HTC U11. In terms of overall device size and dimensions, the phone should be very similar to the Pixel 2 XL, and it should only be slightly taller than the U11 despite having a much taller display.

As a reminder, the HTC U11 Plus is expected to have a 6-inch WQHD+ LCD, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4/6GB of RAM, 64/128GB of storage, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, and a huge 3,930mAh battery. There are only four days left for the November 2 event, so if the phone does launch there, there is not a lot of time to wait for it anymore.
