LG G7 ThinQ design leaks in full, launching May 2nd

The LG G7 "ThinQ" has been popping up in leaks and rumors for a while now. It's one of those devices that we know everything about before it's announced. The most recent rumor suggested the device will have a dedicated physical button for Google Assistant. One feature that was a frequent topic of leaks was the display notch. While it hasn't been officially confirmed yet, a new render all but confirms this feature.

The image above comes from Evan Blass @evleaks. We can see the LG G7 ThinQ (yes that is the official branding) from all sides and angles. The device looks like a cross between the LG G6 and LG V30, which isn't a bad thing. The bezels on the top and sides are pretty small, but it still has a decent chin. Of course, the display notch is the main attraction on the front. Some people will hate it, but it doesn't look too bad.

Like the previous leaks, the G7 has four physical buttons on the sides. Presumably, these are for volume, power, and the aforementioned Google Assistant. The Assistant button is interesting, but the power button is also new. Previous LG phones used the fingerprint scanner as the power button. The dual camera set-up is now in a vertical orientation and the headphone jack is on the bottom.

LG previously announced a launch event for May 2nd and now they are sending out invites. The invite simply lists the LG G7 ThinQ and the May 2nd event date. The event will be held in New York with a simultaneous event in South Korea. Hopefully, the device will launch later in May and not have a long delay like the LG V30. Are you interested in the LG G7? Or will this phone get lost in the shuffle of devices?
