OnePlus announces ‘Fast AF’ sale of OnePlus 6 on May 13th-16th in India

The OnePlus 6 hasn't been officially announced yet, but we know most of its specifications already. A leaked tweet has revealed the design as well. Just recently, the company announced that Android P beta would be available for the OnePlus 6, with the download being made available after the phone's launch on May 16th. Now, it has announced that Indian customers can reserve the OnePlus 6 ahead of the Indian launch (due to take place on May 17th) with "added benefits." In this way, they will be among the first customers globally to purchase the phone on the first day of sale.

The reservation consists of the "Fast AF" sale, which will be held on Amazon India between May 13th-16th, 2018. Customers will be able to buy an Amazon.in e-Gift card for the device worth Rs. 1000. This card can be used to buy the OnePlus 6 on May 21st and May 22nd.

The steps to buy the device using the e-Gift card are:

  1. Purchase the OnePlus 6 Amazon.in e-Gift card worth Rs. 1000 during the "Fast AF" sale on Amazon.in betwen May 13th-16th.
  2. Redeem the Gift card on Amazon.in for the purchase of the device on May 21st and May 22nd to receive the complimentary cashback of Rs. 1000 in the form of Amazon Pay balance. This effectively gives buyers a value of Rs. 2000 with the purchase of a Rs. 1000 Gift Card.
  3. Buyers will also get extended warranty of 3 months over and above the existing 1 year warranty on the phone.

Noor Patel, Director – Category Management, Amazon India stated: "Both, Amazon and OnePlus have always maintained a customer-first approach. With this unique, one-of-a-kind sale, customers are in for a special treat on the much awaited OnePlus 6 exclusively on Amazon.in."

Right now, the pricing of the OnePlus 6 isn't known yet. Notably, the OnePlus 5 came with a price hike over the OnePlus 3T, and prices of OnePlus phones have been steadily increasing with each new phone launch. We expect to learn more about the device at its launch.
