[Update: Winners] Google announces the nominees for the 2018 Google Play Awards

Update 5/8: The Google Play Awards winners have been announced and listed below.

Google kicked off an annual program in 2016 to recognize exceptional apps and games in the Google Play Store. Every summer, Google nominates apps and games from a variety of categories and announces the winners at I/O. The nominees selected by various teams across Google have been announced for 2018. The categories change a bit from year to year. See the full list of categories and apps/games below.
